Chit-Chit: UPDATE

Hello lovely Chit-Chat readers and writers! I hope you all have a fabulous day planned to enjoy this first day of August. In other not-so-cheery news, I would like to share that Ashley and I will no longer be a part of Chit-Chat after this month. 

Chit-Chat is a commitment to a community of girls that Ashley and I have loved being a part of, but unfortunately with school right around the corner we just don't have the time, nor will we have the energy to continue.

Because Ashley and I are leaving, we would love to choose two girls qualified for {social media manager} and {editor-in-cheif}. 

There will be two separate applications for the positions. You can apply for one of the positions, both positions, or no position. After all of the applications have been sent in, Ashley and I will then pick two people that we think will be best for the job. Check out the descriptions of each job below!

Social media manager - The social media manager obviously does a lot with social media. They are responsible for tweeting links to the posts each day and other fun things. Part of their job is handling the emails, such as sending out the list of posts for each month, figuring out who will post what, and sending out due date reminders. They also have to keep a calendar of which posts are being posted on which days, who is writing them, and when they're due.

Editor-in-chief - The editor-in-chief comes up with all of the post ideas each month. They put together the list describing what each post is like. Each writer also emails the editor-in-chief their finished post so the editor-in-chief can edit the post and schedule it.

Below are the applications for the two positions. We ask that you email your responses to us in a normal email no later than Tuesday, August 6th so we can figure out the positions before it's time to decide September writers.

Social Media Manager

Editor-in-Chief
1. Do you have any experience editing? If so, please explain.
2. Do you have a blog that shows you know how to present things well? Please include it and examples.
3. How would you recruit writers?
4. How would you transform Chit Chat to make it better?
5. What are some ways you would come up with fresh, exciting, and interesting post ideas?
6. What makes you great for this position, and why do you love Chit Chat?
